I spun my friend Lexie’s Breast Wishes Fundraiser on October 9th at the CCA in Santa Fe. It was a great event with many people there to support new ways of approaching breast cancer therapy. She’s asked me to play sexy music for the event and this is what I came up with.

This weeks Twisted Groove was sparked by the most recent tour of Dean & Britta (of Luna fame). They have composed music for and are touring with Screen Tests films of Andy Warhol. Someone once called Luna’s music Dream Pop which I think is a fitting description. So this weeks show tries to blend other artist that might fall into the Dream Pop category. Regrettably the second set recording was stopped short by yet another computer glitch. When I can find the time I would like to recreate the second set.

I felt like mixing it up this week so this weeks Twisted Groove show is quit varied. While I was in San Francisco a while back I bought the then newest Muslimgauze release Armsbazzar. Recordings of his from 1994-1997. His sound is raw and powerful. I then moved to some smoother electronic music like M83, Plaid and DNTEL. Then I get all euro with some French feeling music like Bertrand and Alif Tree. Then I move into some experimental sounds of Nick Forte. Then into some Kriedler, KJ Sawka and then back to Muslimgauze. Ending out the eve with Aphex Twin, Mouse on Mars and Future Sound of London. Quite a varied tour around the electronic music genre.
