The Twisted Groove is a weekly radio show on KSFR fm 101.1 Santa Fe airing Saturday eves 10pm to midnight (MT). Spinifex plays a groove-based exploration of the past, present and future of Electronic, Indie, Rare Groove, Funk, Soul, Experimental, and Afro Funk propelling your music pleasures into futurity!

This weeks Twisted Groove starts out with a set of music from Acidsoxx music
A cool little label releasing interesting little ditties. From there the show moves to other oddities and Indie music of sorts. It’s a real fun combo.

This weeks Twisted Groove was sparked by the most recent tour of Dean & Britta (of Luna fame). They have composed music for and are touring with Screen Tests films of Andy Warhol. Someone once called Luna’s music Dream Pop which I think is a fitting description. So this weeks show tries to blend other artist that might fall into the Dream Pop category. Regrettably the second set recording was stopped short by yet another computer glitch. When I can find the time I would like to recreate the second set.

Some weeks ago I saw Bonnie Prince Billy (Will Oldham) at Santa Fe Brewing Company. This inspired me to create a Twisted Groove show with his music along with other related artist. Will Oldham is an amazing live performer. He reinterprets many of his songs quite differently in a live setting giving way to fascinating renditions. Here is a show comprised of Indie Folk and Indie related music which I believe make up a beautiful whole. This show also features some artists from Bedroom Community Records which is a cool label located in Iceland.
